Cold Chaser TEA adds delicious flavouring along with an immune boosting element to this soup.
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 medium carrots sliced
2 ribs celery sliced
8 cups low sodium chicken broth
4 tbsp. Cold Chaser TEA
1 cup long grain white rice
1 cup shredded cooked chicken breast
Salt and pepper to taste
Pour chicken broth into a large saucepan and add the TEA. Heat over medium heat until it just starts to boil. Remove from heat and let sit until cool. Filter out the TEA leaves and set aside. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, carrots and celery and cook for about 4 minutes or until the vegetables are almost soft. Pour in the TEA and bring to a boil. Add the rice and chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Cook on medium heat until rice is tender - about 18 - 20 minutes.
