Hibiscus may help lower blood pressure and is rich in antioxidants. It is also rich in Vitamin C and may be used to help fight off colds and sore throats. Hibiscus can be brewed to drink hot or cold.
1/2 cup dried Hibiscus Tea
1/2 tsp. cinnamon chips
3 cups cold water and 1 cup of boiling water club soda
Place the Hibiscus flowers and cinnamon chips in a pitcher and add 1 cup of boiling water. Let steep for 10 – 15 minutes. Add 3 cups of cold water and place in the refrigerator for 4 – 6 hours or overnight.
Pour equal parts hibiscus concentrate and club soda over a glass of ice.
Note: Change up the flavour and steep ginger instead of cinnamon. Use ginger ale in place of of club soda.
