Green Tea Chicken Skewers

These Chicken Skewers taste best if prepared the night before using. This allows for lots of marinating time and they are ready to grill when you come home from work making it an easy weeknight meal. Serve with a salad to round off your meal.

4 chicken breasts cut into approx. 1 1/2” cubes
3/4 cup Lemon Ginger Green & White Tea (2-3 tsp. Lemon Ginger Green TEA steeped in 1 cup hot water for 4 minutes. Strain and let cool. Measure out 3/4 cup)
2 cloves garlic minced
2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar or regular vinegar
1 tsp. minced ginger
1 tsp. dried Italian or Mediterranean seasoning mix
1 tsp. lemon zest or 1 drop of food grade lemon essential oil

Place the cut up chicken pieces in a Ziploc type bag. Mix all the rest of the ingredients together and pour over chicken in bag. Let marinade for 3 – 24 hours. Thread the chicken on skewers and bbq on the grill until done.  Note: the chicken can also be
stir-fried in a pan if desired.

We started blending this tea back in late 2015 because we could not find an acceptable blend. WOW, it has become an all time favourite very quickly!
