Kombucha may help your body return to a more balanced state

To make Kombucha you need a base made from a good quality Green or Black Tea. Fog Mountain Organic Green Tea or our English Breakfast Organic Black Tea are both good teas to use. Starting with a high-quality tea brews a high-quality product. Other teas like Oolong and Pu-erh could be used but try an experimental batch to start.

Infusing Vinegar With Tea

One can infuse vinegar with tea to make delicious salad dressings. Warm up 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar just until boiling. Remove from heat and stir in 2 Tbsp. of tea of your choice. Steep until cool. Strain out the tea and whisk in the remaining ingredients in your salad dressing recipe. Good quality plain teas like Fog Mountain Green or an Oolong Tea will add great flavour.

SUMMER SALAD DRESSINGS

Making your own salad dressings is much easier and quicker than you might think. A simple salad dressing can be made using 3-4 ingredients. Using an emulsifier like Dijon mustard helps to blend the oil and vinegar together and helps to make it thick. Sweeteners like honey or maple syrup are perfect for sweetening.

Cold Brew Iced TEA Recipe

Place 5-7 tsp of TEA in a pitcher. (Add more TEA if you like a stronger brew). Add 1 cup of hot water and steep for 5 min. Stir in sweetener if using. Add 3 cups of cold water. Place pitcher in refrigerator 5 hours. Suitable for all types of TEAS. The slow cold water steeping method extracts more natural sweetness and flavour from the TEA leaf. TEAS won’t go bitter because it is a gentler method of steeping which doesn’t draw out as much of the tannin from the TEA leaves.
